Stratford girls basketball pulls past Edgar

STRATFORD – Stratford made 15 of 20 free throws and were able to hold off Edgar for a low-scoring 31-22 win in a Marawood Conference South Division girls basketball game Tuesday night at Stratford High School.

The Tigers only made six field goals, two in the second half, but were able to hold Edgar to only six second-half points to pull out the victory.

Tria Tubbs was 11-for-12 at the free throw line and scored a game-high 13 points for Stratford, which is now 3-1 overall and 3-0 in the Marawood South.

Stratford is back in action Friday with a Marawood Conference crossover game at Athens.
