Wisconsin Valley Union girls hockey drops road game at Black River Falls

BLACK RIVER FALLS – The Wisconsin Valley Union girls hockey team outshot Black River Falls more than 2-to-1, but dropped a 3-1 decision to the Tigers in a nonconference matchup Tuesday night at Milt Lunda Memorial Arena.

The Union peppered 46 shots on goal, but Black River Falls goalie Sydney Magnuson came up big, saving 45 of them to lead the Tigers to the win.

After falling behind 3-0, Wisconsin Valley’s only goal came midway through the third period when Jenna Jones scored off an assist from Autumn Brish.

Wisconsin Valley (3-2) will be back in action Friday with an Eastern Shores Conference game at Brookfield.
