Lee’s near-perfect night lifts Marshfield boys basketball past Hudson

HUDSON – Marshfield junior point guard Landon Lee had a near-perfect shooting night to lead the Tigers to a 75-63 win over Hudson in a nonconference boys basketball game Friday night at Hudson High School.

Lee was 9-for-10 from the field, 3-for-3 from 3-point range, and 6-for-6 at the free throw line to finish with a game-high and career-high 27 points for Marshfield (7-1).

Brooks Hinson added 20 points and eight rebounds, and Chris Pohl scored 15 points for the Tigers, who shot 59 percent (24-for-41) from the field and made eight 3-pointers in the victory.

Sam Schwalbach had 14 points to lead Hudson (3-4).

Marshfield returns to action next week at the Rick Majerus Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Shootout at Concordia University in Mequon. The Tigers will play Onalaska at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, and Ashwaubenon at 10:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29.
