EAU CLAIRE – Alyvia Dietsche won the balance beam competition for Marshfield, which placed fourth among five teams at the Eau Claire Gymnastics Invitational on Saturday at Eau Claire Memorial High School.
Dietsche won the balance beam with a score of 8.825 and placed fourth in the vault with a score of 9.125 for Marshfield’s only two top-five finishes.
Chippewa Falls won the team title with a score of 141.275, with Holmen second with 133.9. Marshfield was fourth with 129.15 points.
Abby Pietsch added a seventh-place finish in the uneven bars (8.35), and Serenah Tippett placed eighth in the beam (8.25) and ninth in the floor exercise (8.675) for the Tigers.
Marshfield’s next competition is next Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Antigo Invitational.
