AUBURNDALE – Undefeated Wisconsin Rapids Assumption proved too much for Auburndale and cruised to a 55-31 win in a Marawood Conference South Division girls basketball game Monday at Auburndale High School.
Anna Schooley had 14 points, Sarah Shaw 13 and Jordyn Jaglinski 11 for the Royals, who are now 16-0 overall and 11-0 in the Marawood South.
Lily Bellanti led Auburndale with seven points as the Eagles (11-6, 8-3 Marawood South) made only 14 field goals in the loss.
The two teams play again at Assumption on Thursday where the Royals can clinch the Marawood South championship with a victory.
