Marshfield Middle School gymnasts wins B Division title at Mosinee Invite

MOSINEE – The Marshfield Middle School gymnastics team won the B Division team title at the Mosinee Invitational on Monday.

The Tigers finished with 107.2 points, with Lakeland second with 104.05 points.

Kaylee Fredrick tied for first in the balance beam competition with a score of 9.3 and won the bars with a score of 9.05 to lead the way for the Tigers.

Marshfield’s Kelsey Wray was the all-around champion with 35.2 points and Journey Voight placed third with 35.15 points.

Leeann Luedtke also picked up a win for Marshfield, taking first in the floor exercise with a score of 9.3. Voight was second with a 9.15 and Wray tied for third with a 9.0.

Wray and Luedtke tied for second in the bars (8.7), Voight added a third-place finish in the vault (9.2) and a runner-up in the balance beam (9.2), Constance Opsal placed third in the bars (8.4) and beam (9.0), Wray was fourth in the beam (8.95) and Luedtke fifth in the beam (8.9) for the Tigers.

Luedtke added a third-place finish with an 8.0 in the vault in the A Division competition.

Marshfield will be back in action next Monday, Jan. 29, at the Antigo Invitational.
