Trunkel pitches Marshfield Chaparrals to victory over Chaseburg/Coon Valley

MENASHA – The Marshfield Chaparrals won their second straight game, beating the Chaseburg/Coon Valley Blues 3-1 in the first game of the NBC Tournament at Koslo Park in Menasha on Saturday.

Cain Trunkel allowed five hits and one walk, while striking out seven in a seven-inning complete-game victory for the Chaparrals (13-7).

Dylan McHugh had a two-RBI single in the sixth to provide Marshfield with the winning runs.

Marshfield will continue play at the tournament today.
