MARSHFIELD – Five players scored in double figures to lead the undefeated University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team to a 74-64 win over UW-Marinette on Monday at the Marauder Gym.

Paige Albrecht scored 15 points, Marissa Draxler added 14, and Bailey Kleiforth, Ashley Pongratz and Karlee Rosentreter each had 12 for the Marauders, who improve to 6-0.

Heather Adrian had 10 rebounds and Albrecht added five assists for UW-Marshfield/Wood County.

“We knew they were going to be a competitive team going into this game and the ladies were pumped for it,” Marauders coach Rhonda Keding said. “Karlee and Ashley did a great job defending their tall girl to keep her from getting rebounds.”

The Marauders play at UW-Fond du Lac on Wednesday.
