EAU CLAIRE – The Marshfield boys swim team finished seventh out of eight teams on Saturday at the Eau Claire Santa Clause Invite.
Aaron Scheets took second place in the 100 backstroke (57.33 seconds) and fourth in the 200 individual medley (2:11.09) to lead the Tigers.
“Many new personal records were established at this meet,” Marshfield coach Faye Egger said. “What a fun seasonal meet that gave opportunity for all levels to compete.”
Jake Krueger won the 100 freestyle in 57.87 and Phil Kubica won the 100 breaststroke in 1:16.11 in the JV division for Marshfield.
The Tigers’ Nolan Hall took third in the JV 200 freestyle (2:22.13), Denver Anderson was third in the 100 back (1:14.93) and the 400 freestyle relay team of Ian Thomasgard, Hall, Evan Schneider and Jake Krueger took second in 4:00.31.
The varsity 400 free relay team of Alex Shulman, Tom Stevning-Roe, Jake Akin and Aaron Scheets also placed fourth in 3:41.14 for Marshfield.
The Tigers are at Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday.
