Marshfield boys basketball wraps up regular season with road win at Wisconsin Rapids

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Marshfield boys basketball team wrapped up its regular-season schedule with a dominating 52-37 win over Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday night at Marshfield High School.

The Tigers finish the regular season with a 15-7 record and an 8-4 mark in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, finishing in second place.

Rapids ends its regular season with a 7-15 record, 4-8 in the conference.

Marshfield built a 30-13 lead by halftime and led by double digits throughout the second half.

Elliot Ashbeck led the Tigers with 20 points, Ben Satter dominated inside with 18 points (8 of 9 shooting) and 10 rebounds, and Brandon Brown had 10 assists.

Marshfield, which earned a first-round bye in the WIAA Division 1 playoffs, will host Wausau East in a regional semifinal on March 2.
