The 97th WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament concludes Saturday with championship games in five divisions at the Kohl Center in Madison.

University of Wisconsin recruit Sam Dekker led a mad comeback by Sheboygan Lutheran as it beat Racine Lutheran 67-66 to win the Division 5 championship game. Dekker made three 3-pointers, including the game-winner with 6 seconds left, and converted a three-point play in the final 50 seconds as Sheboygan Lutheran closed out the game with a 12-3 run to win by a point. Sheboygan Lutheran was making its first state tournament appearance.

Whitefish Bay won its third state title (2004, 2005) by beating Cuba City 61-43 in the Division 4 title game. Duane Wilson led Dominican with 24 points.

Brillion beat Glae-Ettrick-Trempeleau 40-35 to win the Division 3 championship. It is Brillion’s first state title.

Onalaska drubbed Kaukauna 55-38 to win its third state title in Division 2 (1988, 1992). It was Onalaska’s first state appearance since that 1992 championship.

Germantown completed a perfect 28-0 season by defeating Milwaukee King 72-69 in the Division 1 championship game. Germantown captured its first state championship. Zak Showalter, who will be a perferred walk-on at Wisconsin next year, scored a game-high 22 points as he made 15 of 18 shots from the free throw line in the win for Germantown.
