MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls tennis team dropped a close 4-3 decision to Stevens Point in its Wisconsin Valley Conference opener Thursday at Boson Courts.
Nadeen Lieberman won at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0; Martha Kupfer posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles; and Emily Ott swept her opponent at No. 4 singles for Marshfield’s three victories.
Marshfield will participate at the Green Bay Southwest Invitational on Saturday and return to WVC action next Thursday at Wausau East.
