STRATFORD – Semifinals and consolation games were held in the Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League on Sunday.
A Division
Semifinals
*Top-seeded Kizzy & Sue’s Bar & Grill drilled No. 6 Smazal’s Hunters Choice 84-55. Neil Weiler had 24 points and Kevin Spindler added 20 for Kizzy & Sue’s.
*No. 2 Rose Bowl Lanes whipped No. 5 USBancorp 85-60. Cain Trunkel had 27 points to top Rose Bowl. Trevor Gorman scored 22 points for USBancorp.
Consolation
*Victory Apparel defeated BSI Stainless 94-73. Mike Riemer had 37 points, Connor Staab had 21 and Erik Multer added 20 for Victory Apparel. Daniel Adler scored 27 points for BSI.
B Division
Semifinals
*No. 4 seed The Shack upset No. 1 Resource Recovery 55-50. Pat Johnson led The Shack with 24 points.
*No. 2 Marshfield Country Club rolled past No. 3 Arby’s 95-69. Chris Klimpke had 26 points and Mike Pankratz scored 21 for MCC. Nick Sternitzky had 22 points for Arby’s.
Consolation
*Davis Auto cruised past Country Wireless 95-63. Kyle Davis had 31 points and Dan Stelzer had 20 for Davis Auto. Eric Custer scored 26 points for Country Wireless.
