Columbus Catholic girls tennis shut out at WIAA Division 2 Lakeland subsectional

MINOCQUA – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls tennis team’s season came to an end as no one qualified for sectionals during play at the WIAA Division 2 subsectional on Monday at Lakeland High School.

Players that reached the semifinals No. 1 singles and doubles, and the finals in No. 2-4 singles and No. 3-4 doubles, move on to the Division 2 sectional at Lakeland on Thursday.

Individual match results were not provided.

The top four finishers in No. 1 singles and doubles, and the winner of the No. 2 singles and doubles brackets at the sectional will qualify for the 2015 WIAA Girls Tennis State Individual Tournament in Madison on Oct. 15-17. The top team in the sectional will move on to the 2015 WIAA Girls Tennis State Team Tournament in Madison on Oct. 23-24.
