Columbus Catholic soccer splits two games at Oostburg

OOSTBURG – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team suffered its first loss of the season before coming back with a dominating victory at the Dutchmen Invitational on Saturday at Oostburg High School.

The Dons lost to West Bend East 2-0 before blowing past Campbellsport 8-0.

Columbus Catholic (12-1) was outshot 4-0 on goal in the loss to West Bend East.

The Dons came back to dominate the second game, outshooting Campbellsport 39-2 overall and 24-1 on goal.

Nadim Torbey scored twice, and Calvin Brown, Alex Giles, Tyler Fuerlinger, Charles Payant and Nick Malovrh also scored for the Dons. The final goal was a Campbellsport own goal.

Columbus hosts Northland Lutheran at 5 p.m. Monday in a Mid-State Soccer Conference game at Griese Park.
