Marshfield has four champions at Wisconsin Valley Conference Track Relays

SCHOFIELD – The Marshfield girls finished fourth and the boys fifth at the 2017 Wisconsin Valley Conference Track Relays on Tuesday at Stiehm Stadium at D.C. Everest High School.

The Marshfield boys had one victory and one runner-up finish.

The 3,200-meter relay team of Paul Fischer, Addison Hill, Alex Wehrman and Nathaniel Phillips won in 8:35.96, and the 330-meter hurdles shuttle team of Skyler Theisen, Eric Kubash, Jarreth Schaefer and Kyle Tremelling was second in 50.56 seconds.

The Marshfield girls had three conference champion relay teams, all in field events. Stephanie Rhodes, Shantel Neinast and Jamila Ougayour combined for a height of 14 feet, 2 inches, to win the high jump; Meg Bryan, Gracie Holland and Kaydee Johnson had combined jumps of 48 feet, 7¼ inches to win the long jump; and Bryan, Johnson and Maddie Nikolai had combined jumps of 96 feet, 6 inches to win the triple jump.

The Tigers’ shot put team of Katie Osinski, Nadia Ougayour and Molly Meyers finished second (93-3¾), and the 1,600 relay team of Holland, Bryan, Nikolai and Alexa Aumann took second in 4:25.76.

Stevens Point won both team titles.
