ANTIGO – The Stratford football team earned its first win of the season by shutting out Antigo 28-0 in a nonconference game Friday night at Schofield Stadium.

Both teams are now 1-1 this season.

Kade Ehrike ran for a 3-yard touchdown in the second quarter for the only score of the first half as the Tigers took a 7-0 lead.

Vaughn Breit caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Mark Handrick in the third quarter, and Ehrike and Teddy Redman each had rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter to finish off the scoring.

Ehrike rushed for 106 yards and added four catches for 43 yards for Stratford.

The Tigers outgained Antigo 336-192 overall.

Stratford opens Marawood Conference play next Friday, Sept. 1, at home against Chequamegon.
