AUBURNDALE – Cooper Weinfurter and Cale Jacoby each scored 20 points to lift the Auburndale boys basketball team to a 63-56 win over Augusta in the championship game of the Auburndale Holiday Tournament on Friday night at Auburndale High School.
Weinfurter hit four 3-pointers and was 6-for-7 from the free throw line, and Jacoby hit 8 of 10 shots overall and 4 of 4 free throws to help Auburndale (7-2) to the victory. Both also had five rebounds nad two assists.
Cameron Ertl added 11 points and Colton Wright had a team-high seven rebounds for the Apaches, who made 17 of 22 free throws in all.
Auburndale plays a nonconference game at Port Edwards on Tuesday.
