Spencer boys basketball rolls past Granton

GRANTON – The Spencer boys basketball team held Granton to 31 percent shooting and forced 19 turnovers in a 72-34 victory on Friday night at Granton High School.

Collin Nieman scored 22 points, and Austin Bacon and Nate Karau each had 14 points for the Rockets (6-5, 5-4 Cloverbelt Conference East Division).

Spencer held a 49-33 rebounding advantage and outscored the Bulldogs (0-10, 0-8 Cloverbelt East) 13-3 at the free throw line.

Spencer hosts Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Thursday.
