Columbus Catholic girls basketball earns home win over Colby

MARSHFIELD – Columbus Catholic freshman guard Sophie Wilczek scored a season-high 20 points to lead the Dons to a 52-43 win over Colby in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Thursday at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons snapped a six-game losing skid and improves to 8-12 overall and 6-5 in the Cloverbelt East.

Mattea Schlafke added 11 points in the win for Columbus Catholic.

Angelique Hernandez led Colby (3-16, 1-11 Cloverbelt East) with 11 points.

Columbus Catholic is back in action Monday at Spencer.
