Jakobi scores 1,000th career point as Columbus Catholic boys basketball wins at Loyal

LOYAL – Marshfield Columbus Catholic senior Blake Jakobi scored a game-high 20 points and surpassed the 1,000-point plateau in his career, as the Dons defeated Loyal 59-44 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game on Friday at Loyal High School.

Jakobi became ninth player in Columbus Catholic program history to score 1,000 career points.

Charlie Moore added 13 points and Emmitt Konieczny chipped in 12 in the win for the Dons, who are now 18-1 overall and 11-0 in the Cloverbelt East.

Cain Toufar led Loyal (7-11, 5-6 Cloverbelt East).
