AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale girls basketball jumped out to a commanding first-half lead and rolled to a 54-32 win over Prentice in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday at Auburndale High School.

The Eagles pulled out to a 31-12 lead by the break and were able to finish off the victory, running their record to 13-7 overall and 9-4 in the Marawood South.

All 11 Auburndale players that saw action found the scoring column, led by Chesney Nagel, who finished with 12 points.

Kali Heikkinen had a game-high 21 points for Prentice (5-13, 3-10 Marawood North).

Auburndale hosts Edgar on Tuesday.
