Marshfield girls basketball rolls to nonconference win at Chippewa Falls

CHIPPEWA FALLS – Marshfield held Chippewa Falls to just 13 points in the first half, opened up a commanding lead, and went on to a 57-31 win in a nonconference girls basketball game Monday at Chippewa Falls High School.

The Tigers (14-7) led 28-13 at halftime and outscored Chippewa Falls (4-16) by 11 in the second half to finish off the victory.

Ashley Grancorvitz scored 14 points, Emma Ridgway added 12 and Zaida Kolbeck had 11 in the win for Marshfield.

Marshfield hosts Stevens Point for a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Friday at 7:15 p.m. The Tigers (9-1) sit one-half game behinds Stevens Point (9-0) in the conference standings.
