Neillsville stays unbeaten in Cloverbelt East with win over Spencer girls basketball

NEILLSVILLE – Cloverbelt Conference East Division champion Neillsville made 11 3-pointers and held Spencer to seven total made field goals in a 59-17 victory in girls basketball action Friday at Neillsville High School.

The Warriors pulled out to a 33-9 lead by halftime and held Spencer to eight points in the second half to finish off the win, and improve to 19-3 overall and 14-0 in the Cloverbelt East.

Spencer moves to 5-16 overall and finishes its Cloverbelt East schedule with a 1-13 record. The Rockets will play a Cloverbelt Crossover game Thursday and wrap up their regular season next Friday, Feb. 16, with a nonconference game at Abbotsford.
