GILMAN – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team finished off an undefeated Cloverbelt Conference East Division championship season with a 73-27 rout of Gilman on Friday night at Gilman High School.

The Dons raced out to a 54-15 lead by halftime and cruised to the win, improving to 22-1 overall and 14-0 in the Cloverbelt East.

Charlie Moore scored 17 points and Cy Becker added 14 in the win for Columbus Catholic.

Columbus Catholic will finish its regular-season schedule with a first-place game at the Cloverbelt Conference crossovers on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Neillsville High School against Bloomer.

WIAA playoff seedings will be announced on Sunday and the postseason begins on Feb. 27.
