MARSHFIELD – Marshfield hosted its annual Marshfield Tiger Boys Indoor Track Invitational on Tuesday with 13 teams competing at the Marshfield High School Fieldhouse.
Marshfield won five events and took the team title with 112.5 points, with Marathon second with 90 points. Stratford took eighth (26) and Marshfield Columbus Catholic placed ninth (22.5).
Kaleb Neuenfeldt won the 60-yard dash in 6.70 seconds, Keegan Fredrick was first in the 220 in 25.38, and Marshfield won three relays to account for its five wins.
The 4×160 relay team of Haiden Carlson, Neuenfeldt, Simon Dagit and Fredrick won in 1:15.23, the 4×440 relay team of Triton Gross, Beckett McFarlane, Thomas Cashmer and Travis Weigel was first in 4:06.10, and the 4×880 relay team of Cashmer, Kashton Kilty, Elijah Bremer and Owen Hoerneman won in 9:25.25 for the Tigers.
Stratford’s lone win came from Connor Kreft, won won the triple jump with a leap of 38 feet, 10 inches. Xander Curtice added a third-place finish in the high jump (6-0).
Tanner Shortt finished second in the mile (5:33.46) and fifth in the 880 (2:29.87) for Columbus Catholic’s top performances.
