MARSHFIELD – Addyson Knoebel had a hat trick, including two pivotal goals in the second half, to lead Appleton West to a 3-1 win over Marshfield in a nonconference girls soccer game Monday night at Marshfield High School.

Knoebel scored in the 18th minute to give the Terrors a 1-0 lead, which held through halftime. She added another goal on a penalty kick 15:18 into the second half before Marshfield’s Grace Taylor brought the Tigers back to within one just 25 seconds later.

Knoebel added her third goal at the 68:05 mark and West (2-2) was able to hold on the rest of the way.

Marshfield (3-3-1) outshot Appleton West 18-10 in the loss.

Marshfield hosts Wisconsin Rapids for a Wisconsin Valley Conference contest Thursday at 7 p.m.
