MARSHFIELD – Stevens Point pitcher Noah Marschke held Marshfield to just one hit and the Panthers pulled away for an 11-1 win in a Wisconsin Valley Conference baseball game Monday at Safford Field.

Marschke walked six, but Marshfield (3-10, 3-4 WVC) was unable to put together a rally. The Tigers’ only run came in the bottom of the fifth inning when Jakob Sadowska was hit by a pitch, Chase Robinson walked and Sadowska later scored on a groundout by Adam Gilbertson.

Stevens Point scored twice in the first and third innings before blowing it open with a seven-run fifth.

Jaxon Stetler had three hits and Braylen Nystrom knocked in three runs for Stevens Point (16-0, 6-0 WVC).
