Marshfield boys swim team dominates Medford

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys swim team won every race in the 11-event dual meet to beat Medford 103-41 in a nonconference meet Monday night at the Marshfield High School Fieldhouse.

Marshfield’s Thomas Stevning-Roe, Michael Josephson, Aaron Scheets and Jake Akin won the 200-yard medley relay to start the meet, finishing in 1:56.62 for an 11-second victory.

The Tigers also won the other two relays – the 200 freestyle (Jake Krueger, Denver Anderson, Alex Shulman, Akin, 1:46.29) and the 400 free (Scheets, Josephson, Shulman, Akin, 3:49.52).

Akin also took first in the 50 free, winning in 25.46.

Other multiple winners included Krueger in the 200 free (2:14.41), Stevning-Roe in the 200 individual medley (2:35.32) and 100 backstroke (1:08.94), Scheets in the 100 fly (1:01.72), Shulman in the 100 free (57.49) and Josephson in the 500 free (6:10.79) and 100 breaststroke (1:11.08).

The Tigers return to Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet action Thursday against Wausau East at Horace Mann Middle School in Wausau.
