Marshfield finishes fourth at opening leg of WVC Boys Golf Tournament

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Marshfield finished fourth at the opening leg of the 2025 Wisconsin Valley Conference Boys Golf Tournament on Friday at a soggy Ridges Golf Course.

All four of Wausau East’s scoring golfers finished in the top-five as the Lumberjacks easily won the team title with a score of 300. Merrill was second with a 326 and Marshfield fourth with a 330.

Cooper Bjerke shot a 73 to win medalist honors by one stroke over his Wausau East teammate Sawyer Krambs.

Keegan Fredrick tied for seventh with a 79 and Sakat Kanchiredddy tied for 10th with an 81 to lead Marshfield. Afton Hamill added a 93, Camden Kosltad shot 87 and Eli Kruger had a 91 as well for the Tigers.

Marshfield will compete at the Sparta Invitational at River Run Golf Course on Saturday, with the second leg of the WVC Tournament set for Monday at Wausau Country Club.
