Marshfield graduate Maria Anderson wins second straight match for UWGB tennis

GREEN BAY – Marshfield High School graduate Maria Anderson won her No. 4 singles match during the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s 4-3 loss to Detroit in a Horizon League women’s tennis match on April 8.

Anderson won a tiebreaker 10-5 over Raina Halabi to help secure one of the Phoenix’s three wins.

Anderson improved to 4-10 on the season after winning her second-straight match. Her four wins are tied for the team lead in individual victories.

Green Bay closes out its regular-season schedule with a home triangular against South Dakota and Chicago State on Saturday. The Horizon League Championships are slated for April 22-24 at Indianapolis.
