MILWAUKEE – Mark Strey, a 2007 Marshfield High School graduate, is playing NCAA Division I baseball at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Strey has played in 19 of the Panthers’ 29 games this season, starting eight. He is hitting .200 (7 of 35) with six runs scored, one home run, two RBIs and two stolen bases.

Strey, who was redshirted last year after transferring from Madison Area Technical College, was a first-team all-Wisconsin Valley Conference selection when playing for the Tigers in 2007.

Last weekend, Strey went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Milwaukee’s 4-1 win over Carroll College.

The Panthers (12-16) will play at Cleveland State with a doubleheader on Friday and a single game Saturday.
