Spencer softball rips Colby for 10th straight win

COLBY – Six different Spencer players had two hits, five of whom had two RBIs, to lead the Rockets to an 18-5 win over Colby in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division softball game Monday at Colby High School.

The win is the Rockets’ 10th straight and improves their record to 11-1 overall and 9-1 in the Cloverbelt East. Colby falls to 3-9 overall and in conference.

Kailyn Anderson, Nicole Burss, Jenna Hagen, Paige Johnson and Erika Taylor each had two hits and two RBIs for Spencer, which maintains its lead on top of the Cloverbelt East standings.

Danica Johnson added two hits and two runs scored, and Alyssa Brostowitz was 1-for-1 with two RBIs for Spencer.

The Rockets play a doubleheader at Marshfield Columbus Catholic (Brehm Park) on Tuesday and is at Neillsville on Thursday.
