Blake Anderson leads Auburndale baseball past Stratford

AUBURNDALE – Blake Anderson went 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and five RBIs to lead the Auburndale baseball team to just its second win of the season – an 11-8 victory over Stratford in a Marawood Conference South Division game Friday at Auburndale High School.

Auburndale pulled ahead with four runs in both the second and fifth innings to take a 10-3 lead.

Stratford came back with a five-run sixth, but the Apaches added a run and Ben Bolder closed out the win.

Jesse Brokishwas 2-for-3 with three runs scored for Auburndale, which had 11 hits in all from eight different players.

Troy Kollross earned the win, giving up three runs and four hits in four innings.

Stratford statistics were not provided.
