Four players from champion Stratford earned spots on the All-Marawood Conference South Division softball first team, as voted on by the conference coaches.
Seniors Hilary Belter and Haley Austin, and junior Rachel Ludwig were unanimous first-team selections for Stratford. Junior Sara Griesbach was also picked to the first team.
Tigers coach Amanda Pankratz was named the Marawood South Coach of the Year.
Ludwig led the conference with 20 runs scored and hit .412 with 12 stolen bases.
Griesbach topped Stratford in hitting iwht a .468 average and 18 RBIs.
Belter was the Tigers’ pitcher, allowing just 24 earned runs in 81 innings (2.07 ERA), while striking out 56.
Austin hit .439 with a league-leading two home runs.
Three other Stratford players, juniors Sam Frombach and Jenessa Denfeld, and senior Jordyn VanDerLeest were picked to the second team.
Junior Macy Busche and sophomore Hannah Schmitt were honorable mention picks for the Tigers, who won their third straight Marawood South championship.
Auburndale senior Kayleigh Kundinger was a first-team selection, and sophomore Heather Nigh and junior Scout Meyer were honorable mention choices.
Kundinger batting .477 with 10 runs scored and eight RBIs, all team highs.
Edgar’s Amber Myszka, Marathon’s Alex Boehm and Ashley Southworth, and Wausau Newman Catholic’s Brianna Jankowski and Brianna Jehn were also chosen to the first team.
Jankowski was named Player of the Year.
