Marshfield football to host Fan Appreciation Night on Thursday

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield football team will host a Fan Appreciation Night on Thursday at Beell Stadium at Marshfield Middle School.

The Tigers, coming off an 8-4 season that saw them reach the WIAA Division 2 state semifinals, will practice from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Beell Stadium. The public is welcome to attend the event free of charge. Concessions will be available.

Marshfield opens its season, the first of the new Valley Football Conference that combined the Wisconsin Valley Conference and Fox Valley Association, with a nonconference game at former WVC rival D.C. Everest on Aug. 19. The Tigers open their home schedule on Aug. 26 with another nonconference game against Wausau West. Marshfield plays its first VFC South Division game on Sept. 2 against Oshkosh North at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh’s Titan Stadium.
