Columbus Catholic girls tennis takes third at home tournament

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls tennis team went 1-2 to finish third at the Columbus Invitational on Saturday at Boson Courts.

Columbus defeated Unity-Fox Valley Lutheran 5-2 and lost to Wausau Newman Catholic and Stevens Point Pacelli.

Newman won the team title, going 3-0 against Columbus, Neenah St. Mary Central and Pacelli. Pacelli was second.

Columbus returns to action Tuesday with a Great Northern Conference dual meet at Phillips.
