LA CROSSE – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls tennis team took third place at the four-team Diocesan Meet at La Crosse Aquinas on Wednesday.
The Dons defeated Aquinas and lost to Wausau Newman Catholic and Eau Claire Regis. Newman won the team title.
Columbus’ Elizabeth Manlick won two matches at No. 1 singles and Scout Inman was 1-2 at No. 2 singles.
The Dons’ No. 1 doubles team of Abby Gotz and Nikki Hertel, and the No. 3 doubles team of Maddy Havican and Rebecca Lamermayer each won one match against Aquinas.
Columbus hosts Lakeland in a Great Northern Conference dual meet on Thursday.
