COLBY – The Spencer volleyball team won its fourth Cloverbelt Conference East Division match in a row, sweeping previously unbeaten Colby 3-0 on Thursday night at Colby High School.

Courtney Schulz had 12 kills and three blocks, and setter Kyleigh Hebert had 28 assists to lift Spencer to the 25-16, 25-17, 25-18 victory.

Tara Matter and Aubrie Bissonette each had eight kills, Dani Johnson had 29 digs and Faythe Bauer served three aces for the Rockets, who improve to 4-1 in Cloverbelt East action.

“We played well defensively most of the night,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “They got a lot of balls up as well, but when we stayed patient, we got our kills. Kyleigh Hebert did a fantastic job of distributing the ball.”

Spencer returns to action Saturday at the Abbotsford Invitational.
