Marotz, Holbrook lead Marshfield girls swim team past La Crosse Logan/Central

LA CROSSE – The Marshfield girls swim team won its second straight dual, beating La Crosse Logan/Central 111-59 in a nonconference meet Monday night.

Megan Marotz won the 50 freestyle in 27.43 and the 100 butterfly in 1:13.44, and was part of the winning 200 medley relay team and 200 freestyle winning team, along with Emma Holbrook, Walker Guzowski and Paige Hawley, to lead Marshfield.

Holbrook also won to individual events for the Tigers, taking first in the 200 individual medley (2:32.75) and the 100 backstroke (1:05.34).

The Tigers won eight events in all, and added six second-place and eight third-place finishers to roll to the victory.

Laura Josephson earned the other individual win for Marshfield, taking first in the 200 freestyle in 2:15.12.

The Tigers’ 400 freestyle relay team of Kelsey Kuehnhold, Josephson, Maggie Huettl and Hawley was also victorious, winning in 4:28.15.

Marshfield resumes Wisconsin Valley Conference action Thursday at D.C. Everest.
