Marshfield girls golf team takes fourth at final CVGL

OSSEO – Osseo-Fairchild wrapped up the Clover Valley Golf League title with a first-place finish Monday at the final conference golf meet of the season at Osseo Country Club.

Katie Pokrandt of Eau Claire Regis shot a 38 to earn medalist honors and wrap up the individual CVGL championship.

Marshfield finished fourth on Monday, shooting a 206, and ended up fourth overall as well with 69 points.

Kallie Mayer shot a 49, Maggie Field had a 50, Macy Fitzgerald shot a 51 and Molly Field finished with a 56 to round out Marshfield’s scoring.

Maggie Field ended up earning second-team all-CVGL by finishing 10th in the overall standings with 24 points. Molly Field ended up 17th and Mayer 19th overall.

Marshfield plays at the WIAA Division 1 regional on Wednesday at Turtleback Golf Club in Rice Lake. The top four teams and top four individuals not on those teams advance to the sectional meet on Oct. 5 at Forest Hills Country Club in La Crosse.
