FOND DU LAC – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team continued its early-season dominance with a 71-55 road win at UW-Fond du Lac on Wednesday.

The Marauders improve to 7-0 on the season with the double-digit win.

Paige Albrecht scored 17 points, Bailey Klieforth added 14, and Ashley Pongratz and Karlee Rosentreter each had 12 for Marshfield.

“We had too many turnovers and kept them in the game,” Marauders coach Rhonda Keding said. “Too many mental mistakes and we can’t do that. We have a tough game this Saturday at Waukesha and we can not afford turnovers.”

UW-Marshfield plays at UW-Waukesha at 1 p.m. Saturday and returns home next Wednesday to host UW-Rock County at 5:30 p.m. in the first game of a women’s-men’s doubleheader.
