Stratford wrestlers beat Abbotsford/Colby

STRATFORD – Stratford had three pins and won five matches by forfeits in a 54-16 win over Abbotsford/Colby in a nonconference wrestling dual meet Tuesday night at Stratford High School.

Phil Sersch (126 pounds), Steve Marquardt (138) and Jake Guyer (145) had pins for the Tigers. Guyer’s came in just 19 seconds over Grant Schreiber, helping the Tigers win their fourth straight match and take a 33-4 lead.

Andrew Murdaugh (285) and Alex Heiden (132) won by one-point decisions for Stratford.

The Tigers will compete at the Bi-State Tournament in La Crosse on Dec. 29-30.
