Marshfield girls hockey knocks off first-place Point-Rapids

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls hockey team handed Point-Rapids its first Great Northern Conference loss of the season with a 2-0 win Friday night at the Marshfield Youth Ice Recreation Arena.

The Tigers improve to 8-5-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the GNC with the victory. Point-Rapids falls to 8-10 overall and 7-1 in conference as it maintains a one-half game lead over second-place Northland Pines.

Marshfield hosts Northern Edge (Rhinelander/Antigo) on Monday at 7 p.m.
