WAUKESHA – University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County’s Paige Albrecht had 30 points in an 84-65 loss to UW-Waukesha on Saturday.

Tiffany Becker added 10 points and Heather Adrian grabbed 13 rebounds for the Marauders, who fall to 11-5.

“Our ladies closed up the gap to 10 points so many times, but Waukesha would go on a streak,” Marshfield coach Rhonda Keding said. “We had way to many turnovers and didn’t rebound the ball as hard as we should. We need to get back on the winning side. These girls work too hard to keep coming up empty-handed.

“I am happy how Tiffany Becker stepped up her game in the post area. She has improved a lot. And Heather well she keeps bringing her rebounding game. Hopefully one of these games the score will be the other way around.”

The Marauders are at UW-Barron County on Monday and UW-Manitowoc on Wednesday.
