Dons stop losing skid, stomp Granton

MARSHFIELD – Dodge Langreck scored 18 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead the Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team to a dominating 62-39 win over Granton in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game on Tuesday night.

Columbus led 19-8 after the first quarter and maintained a double-digit lead throughout.

Mike Iwanski added 13 points and five rebounds for the Dons, who improve 16-3 overall and 13-1 in the Cloverbelt East. Columbus had lost two in a row in nonconference action last week.

Columbus hosts Greenwood on Friday and is at Loyal on Monday as it holds on to a one-half game lead in the standings over Spencer. The Rockets beat Colby 49-43 on Tuesday to keep pace with the Dons.
