Wausau Newman wins Columbus Catholic girls tennis invite

MARSHFIELD – Six teams competed in the Marshfield Columbus Catholic Girls Tennis Invitational on Saturday at the Oak Street and Boson courts.

Wausau Newman Catholic won the team title, followed by Neenah St. Mary Central, Stevens Point Pacelli, Unity, Wisconsin Rapids Assumption and Columbus.

Elizabeth Manlick won two matches for the Dons at No. 1 singles, and the doubles teams of Rebecca Lamermayer-Maria Garcia, and Kately Welsh-Nettie Kaiser each won one match.

Columbus travels to Phillips for a Great Northern Conference match on Tuesday.
