Marshfield boys cross country team second, girls fifth at D.C. Everest Invitational

WESTON – Nolan Redetzke was fourth, leading the Marshfield boys cross country team to a second-place finish at the D.C. Everest Invitational on Tuesday.

Redetzke finished in 17:08 to lead three Tigers, who finished in the top 11 and earned medals. Adrian Kaiser ended up 10th in 17:54 and Max Tibbett was 11th in 17:55 for Marshfield, which ended up with 86 points.

Stevens Point won the boys title with 17 points, and the girls championship with 36 points.

The Marshfield girls were fifth, led by Rebecca Voss’ eighth-place finish in 20:58. Melissa Brix was 25th in 22:12 and MaKayla Scheuer finished 29th in 22:19 as all five Tigers ended up in the top 32.

The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys finished ninth and the girls had an incomplete team. Results for the Dons runners, and overall finishers, were not provided.

Marshfield and Columbus will compete at the Smiley Invitational at the American Legion Golf Course in Wausau on Saturday.
