Lakeland sneaks past Columbus Catholic girls tennis

MINOCQUA – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls tennis team dropped a tight 4-3 decision to Lakeland in Great Northern Conference action Tuesday.

Elizabeth Manlick won again at No. 1 singles for the Dons, improving to 9-0 in the conference this season. No other Columbus singles player has won a match in GNC play this season.

Rebecca Lamermayer and Maria Garcia won at No. 1 doubles and Lauren Derfus and Lindsey Schultz won at No. 3 doubles for the Dons.

Columbus Catholic (3-6 GNC) plays at Medford (5-3) on Thursday.
