AUBURNDALE – Wausau Newman Catholic handed Auburndale its first game loss of the Marawood Conference season, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Apaches from posting a 3-1 win on Tuesday night in volleyball action at Auburndale High School.
Auburndale won 25-19, 25-19, 17-25, 25-18, to improve to 4-0 in the Marawood South Division, while Newman falls to 1-3.
Nicole Nikolay had 18 kills and 13 digs to top the Apaches. Kendra Kundinger added 10 kills, a team-high 22 digs and 18 assists, and Jenna Peplinski had 16 assists for Auburndale.
Auburndale has a nonconference match at Rib Lake on Thursday.
